As the Owner of Turning Natural Juice Bars, Jerri Evans has revolutionized juicing in the hood.
By bringing better choices to communities that otherwise lack access to healthy options, Jerri
dedicated her mission to serve the under-served. Jerri has worked in the health and wellness
industry with experience in Nutrition Education, Holistic Alternative Health, and more.
It was Evans’ late mother Annette Turner, who founded Turning Natural, after being diagnosed
with Stage II Breast Cancer. Sadly, after almost 10yrs living in remission, the disease returned
and Annette fought her final fight in 2010. Shortly after her mother’s transition, Evans quit her
then excelling career as an Aeronautical Engineer to pursue helping those who were looking to
take care of themselves.
As a hip hop aficionado pairing juices with the likes of her favorites Green Latifah, Swizz Beets,
Bob Marley, Mi’Kale Jackson, and Just Blaze can all be found on recycled skateboards that
serve as menu boards in store. Evans’ personality can be found all throughout the stores, from
the playlist to the bookshelf, to art. 7 years and five locations later, Jerri has committed to
continuing her mom’s legacy and trailblazing her own.
